ITS COMING...

Gotham Cruisers is proud to announce the soon-to-be released '89 Cruiser kit we are currently working on! Although it is alot of work to make our molds as close to perfect as possible, we believe that the end result will speak for itself. For information or prices, please contact us today!

The body we are working from came from an older Butts' mold, and required a TON of work to get it right. We are doing what no other '89 kit maker has done before - we are actually rebuilding the body from the ground up! After cutting the original into several different sections, we are painstakingly rebuilding from thousands of pictures, and accurate measurements taken off of real cars. Our goal is to have one of the nicest out-of-the-mold kits available on the market today.

Check out our gallery to see what we had to start with, and how we aim to make it right! The car pictured is for one of our clients, and he will certainly be happy with the results!

STEP 1: THE DONOR

As you can see, this car wan't much when it came into our shop. In fact, anyone without years of bodywork experience would have been terribly discouraged, and might have given up very early in the project. Not us at Gotham Cruisers! We welcome any challenge. (Make note, that although not all bodies start out like this, EVERY '89 kit on the market today will require lots of bodywork in order to get it ready for paint. Some require a complete teardown, most only require a couple of guys to donate a week or so, sanding and grinding. With any luck, our finished kit will require the very least possible bodywork, and will therefore make the build that much faster and less expensive!)

As you can see, we've got our work cut out for us! But not to worry. We will have this kit up to par in no time! Follow along in our progress, and watch as we turn this ordinary '89 Gotham Cruiser body into something amazing!
